1: Bears Reloaded CM/Entangler Front Load:

The Entangler while a great tool has a transactional inhibition for a large project, in that each NFT must be loaded through the process and thus a storage or rent fee on top of the vault and network fees must be done per NFT. So, in the case of Solbears (Bears Reloaded) a 10k Collection, that total Sanctuary burden to load the Entangler/CM/Mint is 200SOL - specifically

Example 10000NFT * (0.012 + 0.008) SOL = 200 SOL

We have no current funding to accomplish this front load so we are seeking a charitable donation to get that project saved. We will have the tx fee per user but we can significantly reduce that by securing this, essentially dropping the need to add nearly .1 SOL per tx that would be needed to secure that frond load debt.

Additionally,

Getting a further community buy in and communicating our efforts. We’ve secured a script to send out a token advert explaining our efforts to remint bears. This also comes at a cost of .002 per tx per holder and will cost the Sanctuary around 12-14 SOL depending on send snapshot DATA. We’ve secured the funds for this, but is nearly 10% of our current total treasury.

2. Tech needs: Entangler V2 or “Cantangler”

Cantangler: As described above, the Entangler as it stands has some drawbacks. We’d like to explore a few options for the toolbox one of which being a “Cantangler” in which the loading fee above is passed on to the user at the time of swap e.g. the .02 SOL that would be frontloaded in the above scenario is added to the user tx. This improved version of the Entangler would remove the front load burden, and need to source and secure large lump sums of SOL

Burntangler: (Perhaps a addition or variation of the Cantangler) In a few situations we’ve had projects who are seeking like for like art. This is purely case by case and only in circumstances where we’re certain of IP rights. This iteration of the Entangler could in essence retrieve the current Areweave rent thus reducing the overall tx cost or front load cost.

3. Roadmap and Runway funding:

The Sanctuary is growing at an exponential rate. Rugs in the Solana ecosystem are an epidemic at this point. The result is an overwhelming interest into our model, and support system. Unfortunately to date (Since Oct 5th 2021) we’ve acquired little to no funding to support an immeasurably taxed volunteer staff. The Sanctuaries official business model is non profit; in that, it’s always been the need to convert these key staffing needs to paid as any non profit does.

With only a small endowment to date from Radrugs, we’ve only been able to secure a couple of small ACM roles to facilitate discord: However, if the plane is to get off the ground, with wings and gas, retention of critical employees is to be had, then we must secure a round of charitable funding. full stop.

Several Grant applications have been made with no result.

in addition to crucial staffing needs; the Sanctuary is in need of general treasury funds for a myriad of things such as basic tooling like a org email and calendar service, Notion, Discord, data repositories, and a litany of invoices for nominal upkeeps.

The few profitable projects in flight are not enough to hit the minimum viable revenue threshold for Sanctuary NOT to fail as an entity, and thus it’s umbrella support for a healthy and growing set of Sub DAO’s to also lose support.

4. Considerations of additional support needs

Some rugs groups are particularly difficult to support and, or, their communities lack the bare minimum to get started e.g. Cool Beans, who have an interest in Entangler but can’t quite even ask the community to pay the small tx fee, and feel stuck.

Other examples are communities with lesser populations but still have a victim circumstance such as hard rugs, thefts, or no NFT delivery rugs. These individuals are still worthy of help, but our resource limit and asset deficiency keeps us from finding solutions to make them whole.
